Ashampoo Undeleter is a program that can scan and recover files that have been accidentally deleted.
When we delete a file, its data is still present on the hard disk. A file record is stored in the FAT (File Allocation Table) in FAT16 and FAT32 file systems, and MFT (Master File Table) in NTFS file systems. This record is the only thing that is deleted. So, if we accidentally delete a file, we can recover it just after deletion. With time, the data on the disk will be overwritten by new files and the recovery of the older files becomes difficult or impossible.
Ashampoo Undeleter is a simple program. The only thing you need to know is the drive in which the deleted file is placed. The program makes a list of the deleted files. We can arrange this list based on file extension, size, path, and status. Status means the condition of file; whether it is recoverable (Good), partially recoverable (Poor), or unrecoverable (Lost).
The program supports advanced features of NTFS file system for recovering the files. It runs on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. 64-bit operating systems are also supported.
We cannot specify filters (file type, size) for scanning the drive. The program cannot list the files in directory tree structure.
Is designed to recover and restore pen drive data from removable media drives
